This fast-paced Mount Toubkal trek takes you from Marrakech to Imlil, Sidi Chamharouch, and the 3,207-meter refuge before a sunrise push to North Africa’s 4,167-meter summit. Small groups, local guides such as Mohamed, Omar, Mustafa, and Yassine, meals, transport, and equipment rental options make it good value, but the second day is long and demanding.

Leave Marrakesh early for Imlil, then climb through Berber villages and pine forest to 2,600-meter Adrar Talamrout. Expect roughly 14 kilometers, 900 meters of ascent, mint tea, lunch, and wide views toward Mount Toubkal. “We arrive imlil which was amazing but unfortunally we couldnt access Toubkal because The police patrol didnt allowed anyone on top due to casualty occur on the mountain the day before. Our guide Raschid was amazing he handle the situation very well and was very nice and chill guide. So we did instead a hike around imlil and the following day we summited a mountain 2600m which was easy but we had very good time and good view.”
