“We had a great time walking around the Korouoma Canyon with Vanessa! She made the hike super fun and explained a lot about the wildlife and nature around us. We even got a private little guitar show from her in the cafe before hitting the road back to Rovaniemi. The scenery is simply amazing and the little barbecue towards the end of the hike is great to warm up. Highly recommend!”

4.Hike to Frozen Waterfalls of Korouoma Including BBQ Lunch from Rovaniemi

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 84 reviews · 7 to 8 hours (approx.) · from $108Top rated

Travel from Rovaniemi to Korouoma for a snowy forest hike past frozen waterfalls, canyons, and dripping icicles. Thermal clothing is provided, and your guide leads you to a fire-cooked lunch of Lappish food, often including salmon soup, potatoes, sausages, and blueberry tea. The day lasts about 7 to 8 hours.

“Had an interesting walk to the Frozen waterfall.. it was a good walk except that it was very tiring climbing uphill at the last stage before reaching the car park. My guide for the day was Azzura from Nordic travel and she took good care of me to make sure that I didn’t fall on the slippery ground along the walk. Enjoyed the bbq lunch esp the salmon soup . Yummy !!! The only setback is there’s no proper toilet there except for the compost toilet at the start of the walk. Overall it’s a good walk to see the amazing frozen waterfall.”
